About Cashew

The original native of cashew is north-eastern Brazil. In the 15th century, the traders and explorers of Portuguese introduced the cashew tree in India and to the east coast of Africa in an area that is now Mozambique. The cashew tree was spread along to the east coast and was later introduced to the west coast continent from Senegal to Nigeria. The cashew tree grows in about thirty countries across the globe in the tropical climates. 

India is the largest single producer of cashew nuts while West Africa–principally Ivory Coast, Benin, and Guinea-Bissau—is the largest regional producer. Vietnam, Brazil, and East Africa are the other major sources of production. Indonesia has become a major producer and exporter in Southeast Asia.

The extracted juice is then fermented and distilled in globular copper pot and then the vapours are collected in an earthen pot which offers an unmatched taste and excellent quality. This process gives us a unique experience of a blend of the natural flavours and aroma, which makes this spirit the rarest and exotic. The process of producing Kafi Launi is completely manual and every batch is handcrafted with a limited quantity produced every year.
