California Based Ca’ Del Grevino Estate and Winery
Ca’ Del Grevino is the house of Grewal family wines, produces fine wines steeped in Italian tradition with a distinctive California style.
Ca’ Del Grevino is located in the Santa Maria Valley appellation of Santa Barbara County, California. This vineyard is located just 10 miles from the Pacific Coast and benefits greatly from cool, maritime influences. The long hang-time of estate fruit is due to the temperate climate of this coastal appellation. The vineyard is planted methodically and very thoroughly, with special attention paid to varietals best suited to the estate’s terroir. Taking into account the soil condition, the meso-climates and micro-climates, the coastal influences and the orientation of the sun upon the hillsides, you can find here wines like Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Grenache, Dolcetto, Riesling and Syrah.
In order to achieve a high standard of quality, they use properly grown, cropped, evenly ripened, handpicked and hand-sorted grapes. They firmly believe that wine-making starts in the vineyard and growing well-balanced grapes results in a well-balanced wine. The vineyards are sustainably farmed. For the wine-making process, they only 100% French oak barrels.
Ca’ Del Grevino is the signature wine brand of their estate representing reality, tradition and opulence. They are nestled in California’s prestigious Central Coast is the lovely Santa Maria Valley. The micro-climate of the valley produces cool mornings and long warm afternoons. Working with small lots of Pinot Noir from their estate vineyard, they created an alluring, sexy and delicious rendition of classic wine. The wine, is rich in texture, showing great viscosity, a long finish and elegant tannins, is drinkable in its youth, but would benefit from some cellaring or extended decanting. |
CA' DEL GREVINO CHARDONNAY RESERVE

Their Reserve Chardonnay is produced with the highest quality fruit from their Estate. Each flawless berry is hand-selected. This Chardonnay shows flavours of citrus, tropical fruits, lemons, limes and grapefruit flavours, making this wine very elegant. The wine has a cream-like texture. It tastes best when paired with seafood, cheese or with creamy pasta. |
CA' DEL GREVINO PINOT NOIR

They have 31 acres of Pinot Noir planted in their vineyard, which is uniquely suited for ripening this difficult varietal. When they harvest, there are beautiful aromas surrounding the crusher. The wine is garnet in colour, with white pepper notes finishing and a nice rounded mouth-feel and structure. There are aromas of raspberry and fresh pine tree in this wine. The wine is fruit driven and possesses a creamy texture. |
CA’ DEL GREVINO SYRAH

It has a lovely tasting of black cracked pepper and peppermint. It is balanced and nicely structured with a proper balance of tannins and acid possessing a long and lingering finish. A balanced taste and full-bodied texture make their Syrah a dynamic representation of their vineyards’ potential. It tastes best when paired, with fish, shellfish, barbecued and roasted chicken. |
CA' DEL GREVINO CHARDONNAY

Their estate Chardonnay is fermented and aged in 100 % new French oak barrels and undergoes 100% Malo-lactic fermentation. This wine finishes with a pleasant, balanced acidity. It has a nice tropical aroma mixed well with toasted oak and balanced acidity. This wine tastes well with Prosciutto and brie. |
CA’ DEL GREVINO RIESLING

Their estate is good at making White Riesling. good environment and careful cultivation make the wine crisp and refreshing. It is complex and balanced, with lime and peach flavours which are sweet in taste. The pleasant soft and fragrance bouquet stays on the tip of the tongue after drinking this wine. This wine has a vigorous aftertaste and perfect long-lasting structure. |
CA’ DEL GREVINO GRENACHE

Grenache is widely grown and is popular in Spain and the Southern Rhone of France, where it provides the backbone for Chateauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas. While lighter in colour than some other reds, Grenache presents with lovely berry and spice notes and can, with careful vineyard management, create some of the most elegant and complex wines in the world. |
CA’ DEL GREVINO DOLCETTO

In the cellar, the grape’s dark purple skins require only a short maceration time to produce deeply coloured wine with good tannin. Ultimately in their California soil, the finished wines are medium bodied yet retain the candied cherry, licorice and almond flavour characteristics of their Italian heritage. It has the smell of exotic spices & herbs, backed by layers of redcurrants, raspberries and summer fruits. Flavours of plums on the palate with fine tannins. It is medium bodied, elegant with lingering acidity at the finish. |
GREVINO CHARDONNAY

This elegant Chardonnay shows scents of butterscotch, honeydew, melon and apple on the nose. Flavours of honeysuckle, granny smith apple and lemon are wrapped in a light oaky-vanilla blanket leaving a smooth yet crisp finish. |
GREVINO RIESLING
|
Fruity and ripe fruits of pineapple, meyer lemon and ginger on the nose as well as varietal scents of petrol. Ripe and red apple, pear and the beautiful mingling of acid and sugar support the expressive fruitiness quite wonderfully. Slightly off dry. |
GREVINO PINOT NOIR
|
Expressive nose of fruits jumps out of the glass. Scents of cranberry, strawberry, dill, black pepper and black tea give great complexity that carries through to the flavour profile of the palate. This wine is silky smooth and deceivingly easy to drink at 14.2% abv. |
