With a Master of Music degree from Rice University and an undergraduate degree in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University, David's entry into the wine industry was a logical progression, fueled by his unyielding passion and excitement.

His outstanding accomplishments speak loudly about his dedication to perfection. David was named one of Food & Wine's Sommeliers of the Year in 2016, and later that year, he earned the prestigious title of Master Sommelier, cementing his standing among the industry's best. His achievements continued with the StarChefs Rising Stars Restaurateur of the Year award in 2019, which recognized his excellent contributions to the culinary industry.

David's dedication to education and sharing his knowledge is seen in his considerable work as a presenter and seminar leader for prestigious organizations such as the Court of Master Sommeliers and GuildSomm. His entertaining talks have captivated audiences at notable occasions such as the Aspen Food & Wine Classic and Pebble Beach Food & Wine, positioning him as an in-demand industry speaker.
