European Garnacha/Grenache is one of the world’s oldest and most widely planted wine grapes in the world, keeping its highest concentration in Europe (92,8%). At the 2011 World Climate Change and Wine Conference, it was recognized as “arguably the most eco-friendly grape in the world” due to its drought resistance, adaptability, and self-sufficiency.
