Tikveš wines grow on sun-drenched vineyards, nurtured with lots of love, and made and bottled by top experts in the wine industry worldwide.

In 2003 Tikveš wines undertook a transformation in their professional life. He was determined to pursue continuous improvement. From that moment to the present, he has been devoted to the idea that the colors of this country, his people, his landscape, music, and aromas, should all be reflected and communicated in their Macedonian product. All that their painters and musicians have strived to capture in their art, They at Tikveš have attempted to capture in their wines.

In Tikveš wines you can feel the mystery of the fogginess and the morning dew in the Barovo valley, the surreal silence of Bela Voda (вода, voda. Eng. water) and the sandy slopes and warm breeze in Lepovo. If they manage to capture these qualities and if you can truly feel them, it means that they have succeeded in delivering to you, as wine lovers, their dream and vision for Tikveš and their wines.

Tikveš wines grow on sun-drenched vineyards, nurtured with lots of love and made and bottled by top experts in the wine industry worldwide. The awards that their wines get are the ultimate proof of our dedication to the highest quality.

Tivkes Region:

The Tikveš wine sub-region is situated on the same longitude as Toscana in Italy, Bordeaux in France, and the Napa Valley in the USA. It is one of the biggest regions in Macedonia by square area and it is situated at a latitude of 41-42˚. The climate is mixed, Continental-Mediterranean. The south of the Tikveš region is dominated by a Mediterranean climate featuring long and hot summers.

To the north, there is a predominant continental climate with mild and wet winters. The mean annual temperature is 13.3˚C, while during the vegetation period it is 18˚C. In the summer the temperature may reach over 40˚C. The mean precipitation during the vegetation period amounts to 300-500 mm.

The Tikveš region is “protected” on three sides by mountains which prevent the northern winds from reaching the vineyards. The following types of soil prevail in the Tikves region: Rendzina, Vertisol, diluvial, alluvial soil, and Terra Rosa.

This is what the Head Winemaker, Marko Stojakovic have to say,

"We don’t want to interfere too much, we pay our respect to the grapevine and its fruit. On the other hand, our winemaking is very precise and is all about purity. We aim to emphasize the terroir and not mask the wine with tannins. We want to show you the gifts of the vineyards and nature itself."
