Being one of the largest Sicilian wineries, Cantine Europa is an important cooperative of winemakers which was founded in 1962. Today it has over 2000 members and vineyards covering over 6,000 hectares located in the provinces of Trapani, Agrigento and Palermo. Currently the annual production of wine stands at 50,000,000 litres. Sibiliana Vini is the project created for the enhancement and marketing of the packaged products of Cantine Europa, and to continue as custodian of authentic Sicilian wine traditions. Sibiliana Vini wants to interpret, with an analogy, the concept of a “lighthouse” of the territory, and is inspired by “the Sibiliana Tower”, which is still intact and located on the coast of Western Sicily in the municipality of Petrosino. Sibiliana Vini is now supported by an increasingly qualified technical staff whose aim is the careful selection of the grapes, innovation and experimentation in the production process, thus expressing all the variety and peculiarities of the Sicilian territory within bottled and high end boxed products. This allows, with a view to continuous evolution, to achieve high quality production standards, combining the support of both the local economy and the protection of the environment, factors which are today appreciated by our attentive consumers all over the world.
