ProWein, International Trade Fair for Wines and Spirits, is the world’s most important business platform for the international wine and spirits sector. The event annually attracts more than 6,500 exhibitors from 60 nations - including all relevant wine growing regions - and over 58,000 trade visitors from 130 nations to the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany. Over 300 spirits specialties are also on display. ProWein is where business is done: every second trade visitors comes from abroad, at least two-thirds are top decision-makers and almost 60% conclude their business deals during the trade fair or plan to place orders after the show. The exhibitors’ comprehensive ranges are supplemented by special focal points such as the Champagne Lounge, the Organic World with organic wines, the Tasting Area by Mundus Vini and the fizzz Lounge. At the “same but different” special show unusual wine and spirits production and marketing concepts are presented. In addition, some 500 tastings and events are hosted, either at the exhibitors’ stands or in the ProWein Forum. A special highlight is the “Route USA”. For U.S. buyers, importers and wholesalers coming to the show, ProWein and Wine Enthusiast have built “Route USA”, guiding U.S. visitors to those producers who seek to meet them. Producers will have special signage indicating their interest in finding importing and distribution partners in the United States The organizer Messe Düsseldorf has two other wine trade fairs in its program: ProWine Asia in Hong Kong (April 8 - 11, 2017) and ProWine China in Shanghai from November 14 – 16, 2017.
