The Lautergold tradition dates back to the year 1734. This beverage company for spirits was founded on the basis of a family-run “alchemy factory” in the Ore Mountains in Saxony, Germany. The herbs, roots and wild fruits of the Ore Mountain region have always been the basis for the company’s products. High-quality remedies, herb-flavored liqueurs and fruit liqueurs are made from these natural products to this very day. The founding family is still active in the company to this day in the 11th generation and contributes the knowledge concerning the production of unadulterated raw materials passed on from generation to generation for centuries. The guiding principle of a sustainable company deeply rooted in nature has evolved from this history. Lautergold factory products have been made for centuries in the classic methods of maceration, digeration and percolation. Aromatic distillates are generated from old family recipes as the basis of products, whereby up to 40 different herbs and spices are processed and hand-crafted. Nowadays, the production portfolio encompasses more than 40 different varieties of spirits and liqueurs. A small spirits museum has been integrated in the company premises to show this history-charged background to customers. Over 1,000 tour buses visit the company every year to experience these historical backgrounds. Despite a rich historic background, the award-winning distiller and head of production, Dieter Braun always manages to surprise Lautergold clients with new and innovative products - as always of course only using the highest quality raw materials and attention to Detail.
