Wine
The Sumeire Family\'s three Châteaux: Coussin, l\'Afrique, and Maupage produce excellent, award-winning rosés each year. Most notably, their Cuvée César Rosé 2016 was recently selected as one of the top 8 Best Rosé wines in the world, no small feat as it was prestigiously selected out of 18,000 wines tasted at the annual International Wine Challenge (IWC) in London last year. Olivier Sumeire who runs the family business along side his wife Annabelle and sister Sophie is the 8th generation of Sumeire winemakers. All three of our Chateaux are cultivated sustainably to preserve the environment for futur generations. We are proud to present our newest rosé called Fontcreuse. This premium is a collaboration between Olivier Sumeire and Jean François Brando, two pillars of their respective AOPs. Jean-François Brando is the winemaker and proprietor of Château Fontcreuse, a highly regarded "vigneron" producing some of Cassis\' finest white and rosé wines at his historic and mystical site in Cassis, right at the foot of the Couronne de Charlemagne. The Fontcreuse name is synonymous for producing excellent, high-quality white wines in Cassis following traditional, local methods since the 1920s. Mr. Brando called on Olivier SUmeire to create a Cotes de Provence rosé worthy of the name Fontcreuse.
