Wine

The Château Hourtin-Ducasse vineyard, located next to Pauillac, produces a Haut-Médoc. In the eighteenth century, two former owners, Mr. Hourtin and Mr. Ducasse, gave the wine its name. In 1976, Michel Marengo bought it and now manages it with his wife and their 7 children. The vineyard stretches on 25ha cultivated using conservation agriculture techniques that take advantage of the biodynamie and the biological agriculture methods. “Beside our determination to preserve the richness of our terroir and to respect the environment, we believe that we will that way improve the quality of our wines”. They rethink every year the blend and they adapt the proportion of new barrels in order to reveal the purity of the fruit while expressing the unique characteristics of each vintage. The elegance and balance of this wine reflect the qualities of the terroir. The last 31 vintages have received 124 awards.
