Brockenchack Wines

One family, connecting wine-enthusiasts across the globe, through a shared love of storytelling and fine-wine.

Wine

Family is at the core of everything we do. Brockenchack (pronounced Brock-en-shack) is a named after our four grandchildren - Bronte, Mackenzie, Charli & Jack. With your first memorable bottle of Brockenchack, the family reunion begins. Each wine is not only distinct in personality and flavour, but each wine has its own story to tell. We\'ve named every wine in our collection after a cherished family member, or something of significance to our family. Our vineyard dates back to 1896 and has quite a colourful past (with stories of butchers and brothels), but more interestingly, boasts what is believed to be the oldest Riesling vines in Australia. The Barossa’s beautiful high country, Eden Valley, is one of Australia’s premier cool climate wine growing regions, characterised by its rugged beauty and varied topography. Our sprawling vineyard and varied terrain offers little micro-climates which allow us grow a range of varietals on our single vineyard. Eden Valley wines are distinctive in their character, displaying wonderful aromatics, elegance, complexity and finesse. Our location in the saddle between Peggy’s Hill and Mount McKenzie delivers the ideal balance of warm days and cool nights, resulting in the most desirable acid-tannin-fruit balance, and an impressive volume of aroma and flavour that we\'re able to trap in the bottle. We practice minimal interference in the winery and prefer to let our vineyard speak for itself. All our wines are vegan. We are passionate and driven, committed to building our business today, to ensure its success for our future generations. We\'re future-proofing our vineyard in a responsible and sustainable manner, with improved efficiencies and better growing outcomes for the next generations. We have also just built our own onsite \'off-grid\' winery and bottling plant, further cementing our future success and sustainability. We provide a complete wine tourism offering with three luxury bed & breakfast accommodation offerings at our historic vineyard which allows us to host our export partners in style. But more importantly, we are committed to supporting our export partners in their own regions, making annual trips to visit the trade, to provide product training and to host wine events.
