Our passion is to produce wines of superior quality and this is what lead us to find the excellence in our region, using manual process during all possible ways. During our years of experience we have been able to investigate the vineyards and wineries.Our region has a unique climate and terroir, thanks to these characteristics and qualities we have defined our values, which are the grapes. Our philosophy “Rioja en cuerpo y alma” is to focus on preserving the grapes high quality characteristics, which is why gentle handling of the fruit is the guiding principle of our winery. The team working in the cellar is detail oriented, and strives to combine traditional with modern methods in order to produce high quality and modern style wines. Leaded by our Agricultural Engineer, Marta Bernad Cabredo. Grapes arrive in small boxes to the receiving area, where they are hand-sorted before going to the destemmer. After a gentle destemming, the fruit is then sent to tanks for maceration and then fermentation without using any yeast at controlled temperature. We believe the vineyard has to reach the “equilibrio”, thatis the vine is able to self-regulation without human intervention, this can be achieved through good comprehension of the environment. Vine roots are not able to penetrate deep due to our terrain characteristics in order to take only the necessary nutrients from the soil and they will not have excess of nutrients. The limited fruit production will have stronger natural flavours and aromas. Our focus to get the best possible fruit has made us to focus in protect our land and make sure is as natural as possible. In order to achieve that we are dedicated to farming organically so we don’t affect to the land´s biodiversity. Our grapes grown organically.For this reason, organically grown grapes can express the purity, intensity and varietal character of the local terroir.Organic crops are grown in harmony with nature without using any chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. Organic agriculture uses natural fertilizers such as compost. Organic agriculture and production helps us to protect and sustain the land and the environment for future generations.
