Taste Sash & Fritz: A German Vodka with Russian Soul at USATT

Sash & FritzSash & Fritzthat’s German vodka combining Russian tradition with German precision and perfection. Only the best, carefully selected ingredients, such as 100 percent German wheat and clear spring water from the Ore Mountains, are processed into top-quality vodka in a carefully thought out manufacturing process. The result: manufactory vodka at the highest level, with recognizable aromas of grain and yellow fruits, as well as a very subtle yet easily perceptible sweetness. No unnecessary processes or additions – and definitely not absolutely neutral.

Sash & Fritz combines the best German wheat with pure, fresh spring water. This is manufactory vodka at the highest level, which stands out from conventional vodka thanks to its recognizable aromas of grain and yellow fruits and a very subtle yet easily perceptible sweetness.

Sash & Fritz

Sash & Fritz vodka not only tastes good, it also looks good. This is because we attach great importance to the purity of the raw materials and manufacturing perfection of the packaging, just as he does for the vodka. Fritz comes in sophisticated bottles made of high-quality special flint glass, exclusively designed for the company. The material is known for its exceptional quality, clarity, and consistency because it is especially transparent and translucent.

The quality of the vodka is characterized by perfection and precision in the production: 5-fold careful distillation and 5-fold gentle filtering guarantee the pure, unique taste of Sash & Fritz. Recognizable flavors of cereals and yellow fruits and a very discreet, easily perceptible sweetness, Sash & Fritz distinguish from conventional vodka.

They recommend Sash & Fritz be chilled, but not ice-cold. This is the only way to experience the unadulterated taste: clear and soft, warm and cool at the same time, with a fine silky finish.

Explore Exceptional Wines by Clos Malverne at USATT

Clos MalverneSeymour Pritchard bought the 10-hectare farm, Malvern Heights, in 1969 from Colonel JW Billingham, who had named the farm after the rolling hills around Malvern in his native England. When winemaking came into Seymour’s sights in the mid-1980’s, France was still the epicentre of the wine universe. He then added some “French Flair” to the name and changed it to Clos Malverne, due to the homestead on the farm being reminiscent of a Clos in France.

By 1985, Clos Malverne had been supplying its wine grapes to Stellenbosch Farmers’ Winery for a number of years, when Jeremy Walker, now of Grangehurst farm, suggested to Seymour at a braai on Christmas Eve that they make wine from Clos Malverne’s grapes.

In 1995 Clos Malverne was one of the very first wineries to produce a classic Cape Blend (a red wine consisting of at least 30% Pinotage, but not more than 70%).

The wine was such a success that the flagship wine, called the Clos Malverne Auret, was changed from a Cabernet Sauvignon / Merlot Bordeaux style blend to a Cape Blend (Cabernet Sauvignon / Pinotage). The Auret 1998 vintage was the first Cape Blend ever to receive 5-star status in the prestigious Platter Wine Guide.

Clos Malverne is truly a family affair. At present about 70% of their wines are exported to various international destinations, including the United Kingdom; Ireland; The Netherlands; Germany; Switzerland; the USA; Asia and more.

Clos Malverne

The vineyards reside on the gentle slopes of the valley to ensure the most favourable exposure to sunshine. Clos Malverne’s vineyards are located on two separate properties in near vicinity of one another, each selected by degree of varietal affinity to the particular soil type.

Clos Malverne practices a careful “handmade” style of winemaking, with minimum interference by the winemaking staff, resulting in elegant wines, which are expressive of their terroir. We are one of only a handful of wineries in the world that remain true to the traditional and time-honoured way of using a Basket Press.

Basket pressing is one of the oldest methods of pressing grapes; the Ancient Greeks and Romans developed it, later perfected by the French, Basket presses were one of the earliest styles of a mechanical press, and using a basket press means that it is extremely time consuming the results are soft, elegant wines of great complexity.

Explore A Wide Range Of Wines From Italy By Cantine Minini At USATT

Cantine MininiThe history of Cantine Minini Company is strictly tied to the history of our family. Our family history dates back a long time. In fact the Company was established in 1920 when Mr. Francesco Minini, young soldier, came back from First World War: with a little money and a great determination decided to start the wine business in a rural economy and a poor market. For this reason, the love for the land never abandoned our family hence maintaining a great passion, determination and humility in managing the Company.

Today, the export market, now 90% of the entire turnover, has allowed the Company to supervise the international markets and so determinate the choice and the development of new products more adequate to the demand coming from all over the world. In this view their strategy has been to source new wines from the plenty of unique ancient vineyards typical of Italy, rediscovering, with the new technologies of wine-making, the value of the Italian tradition.

This philosophy has been the trigger to develop a large range of Southern-Italian wines, especially from Sicily, Apulia, Campania and from other regions like Veneto, Abruzzo and Tuscany, offering them with an elegant style and a modern packaging enabling them to compete with the strong international new world producers, still with modesty but with the consciousness of their quality. Now, these wines are, with great satisfaction, worldwide appreciated.
